Introduction
DeConna Ice Cream was started as a small vending operation by Don "Big Daddy" DeConna in Miami in 1947. Mr. DeConna expanded into manufacturing and distribution
and, in 1963, moved the business to Gainesville. Today, our
family owned company distributes a "World of Flavors"
from our modern freezer/warehouse complex on 33 acres in Orange Lake, between Gainesville and Ocala. Our facility is conveniently located 1 mile east of I-75 on Marion County Road 318. DeConna also has distribution facilities in
Tampa and Palm Bay, Florida.

DeConna's fleet of vehicles supplies our DeConna private label products as well as quality products from other fine manufacturers to schools, convenience stores, supermarkets, restaurants, ice cream parlors, hospitals, and other
institutions throughout the southeastern United States.
